About the studio
A choice of recording studio reflects a personal statement - Beehouse focuses on the quality in the end product, and a stimulating but unstressful and tranquil recording experience. To achieve this we have developed our recording facility in a stunningly beautiful but isolated location in a family environment, rich in wildlife and scenery. The main studio is situated in the unique countryside on the borders between Wales and Shropshire, near to Welshpool.

The last 20 years have shown that large mausoleum-like edifices are expensive to run and do not necessarily produce products superior to any other. Higher rates are charged simply for the overheads! Beehouse succeeds in maintaining an informal yet creative commerciality in its approach. We produce dance, indie, R and B, folk, classical, plus a wide variety of sound products such as effects. Our audio technology, which can be viewed via this link, is at the cutting edge of sound evolution, and we focus on the technical and creative, aiming to give you an exciting commercial product at the end of the day, rather than empty flattery and a glamour experience! We work intensively, always looking at the organic development of the artist. Voice recording, therefore, is combined with information about vocal and microphone technique, and recording artists are given a real insight and input into the development process. Non-recording visitors may wish to participate in sessions or to spend their time walking, cycling, photographing, birdwatching, sightseeing, reading, playing computer games, watching television or working their way through our extensive collection of studio CDs.

At Beehouse, previous studio experience is unnecessary, we work productively and to a high standard with all customers, whether seasoned professionals or total beginners. Simply bring us your idea for a song or piece of music, and we will produce the commercial reality. Or tell us the tracks you'd like to record, and we'll prepare the backings you need in advance. Studio rates are from a modest £25 per hour plus VAT for the use of the studio, an engineer, an arranger if necessary, additional instrumentation, mixing, mastering and so forth. A day's package, including the cutting of your CD costs as little as £170 plus VAT.
